Power stroke: After the compressed mixture is ignited by the spark plug, the power stroke is initiated. The piston moves downwards due to the combustion force to generate propulsion power. 

Exhaust stroke: Lastly, the exhaust valve opens to provide an exit to burned gases. these gases expells from the exhaust system. Further, the exhaust system closes till the next intake stroke.
